Why Physics is the king of all sciences or centre of science
How Neutron Discovery was a huge Milestone for Physics
Quantum Mechanics and Double Slit Experiment
1. eV0 = hf – hf0
so if frequency of light (f) is doubled, the stopping potential will be , V’0= (2hf – hf0)/e
which is more than double of the original value.
2. The stopping potential will remain constant as the stopping potential doesn’t depend upon the intensity of the light source, i.e. it doesn’t matter whether the distance of the source is changed, which of course affects its intensity.
3. X-rays are diffracted by crystals, according to Bragg’s law.
4. Scintillation means flashes of light. Alpha ray produces stronger scintillation while striking a particular fluoroscent material. Beta ray also produces scintillation, but it’s comparatively weaker than that of alpha ray.
5. Photon doesn’t have any atomic or mass number. So, it doesn’t transform the parent nucleus into something new but just helps it reach the ground state from the excited state it was earlier in.
