Longest time in space by a woman named Christina Koch

Recently, a new record is made by woman for living longest time in space(woman). Her name is Christina Koch. She spent 328 days in space. Old record was held by her fellow Astronaut Peggy Whitson. She previously held the 289-day record. She orbited earth 5,248 times and traveled around 223 million km. Cristina Koch’s record is just 12 days away from Scott kelly’s all time record.

Cristina Koch is the American Engineer and Astronaut of the NASA. She has worked as Electrical Engineer from 2007 to 2009. She has received numerous awards in her lifetime some of them are here, NASA Group Achievement Award, NASA Juno Mission Jupiter Energetic Particle Detector Instrument, 2012.
