1.The symmetry electric field due to an electric dipole is cylindrical. Because the electric field because of the dipole will be same at every point on the surface of a right circular cylinder if we consider the electric dipole as an axis.
2. The unit of dipole moment is coulomb-metre. Among all the options, faraday is actually a unit of charge. As we know, 1 faraday = 96500 coulomb. So, faraday-metre can be a unit of dipole moment.
Don’t confuse faraday with farad. farad is the unit of capacitance.
3. Charging occurs due to actual tranfer of electrons from one body to the other.
4. Gold Leaf Oscilloscope is used for detecting the presence of electric charge and polarity, i.e. whether the charge is negative or positive.
5. 1 electrostatic unit of charge is also called franklin, given in the honor of American scientist Benjamin Franklin who is known for his brave kite experiment in order to prove that lightning is a form of electricity.
